Now I don’t often ‘do’ memes or whatever they’re called (why are they called that anyway, because Its about mememe?) but I was browsing the lovely vintage knitter’s blog and came across the A to Z of Me. I thought, why not? Here’s me….
A is for age: 43! Just! I don’t really think about my age ever. Strange when you think how important It is when you’re younger…
B is for Bed Size: Massive. Huge. Biiiiiiiig.
C is for Chore that you hate: All of them. I am so not domestic. The irony is not lost on me.
D is for Dogs: I’ sag’s nicht. I am not a dog person.
E is for Essential start to your day: Meds. The only routine I have.
F is for favourite colour: the absence of colour was my style for years but now I’m drawn to blues, purples and turquoise. W
G is for Gold or silver: either. But not in a Christmas decoration. Green only.
H is for height: yes please,I need some.
I is for instruments you play: piano, guitar, recorder…xylophone. Really. I’m trying to get Elder interested. Trying.
J is for Job Title: far too boring to discuss. I never go by the title anyway, I tend to do what’s interesting in my field.
K is for kids: two sticky, noisy (so noisy) boys…bless
L is for live: In a Victorian pile, bought as a wrecker and collecting spores ever since. Damp is my mistress.
M is for Mother’s name: Eileen. I miss her.
N is for nickname: flossie, flee flee, sofa…I could go on
O is for: Overnight hospital stay: never for me. little One has hoteled quite often but I’m
Hoping that’s over now.
P is for pet peeves: the inability to seize the day – life is short.
Q is for quote from a movie: they seem to have an open door policy for assholes – Christian Slater in Heathers
R is for right or left hand: i was Right handed, but Parkinson’s allowed me to get much more ambidextrous than I ever anticipated. Win.
S is for Siblings: Youngest of four.
T is for time you wake up: too early most days tbh even tho it always turns out too late
U is for underwear: always
V is for vegetable you hate: fennel and chicory
W is for what makes you run late: my lovely lovely boys. Grrrr
X is for X-rays you have had: Let me count the ways – lungs, neck, wrist, toes….teeth. The lot.
Y is for yummy food you make: baking is my valve – cakes, pies, scones, rice…love it
Z is for Zoo animal: has to be penguin…they have a chocolate bar named after them!
