Sunscreen application
is an in exact art
You miss bits no matter
how keenly you start
if you slap on in swipes
You get burning stripes
If you dab and blot
You get white, glowing spots
It’s not a good look
You won’t rock a trend
You looking at days
‘Til you’re on the mend
Well at least there’s no blister
I got off quite well
Survived by a whisker
And no burning smell
And yes, it was worth it
We had a fab day
Though I’m slightly regretful
My skin had to pay
I’ll build a spray screen booth
That coats head to toe
And stick on to a trailer
To roll with me as I go
Yes, this is a wake up
A lesson I’ll learn
Perfect my pale beauty
Not go for the burn
