How blogging can change the world…in 30 or so minutes. Sounds too good to be true, right?
I am in this session by mistake really. I could be construed a being quite cynical about our ability to chnage the world. cynical but hopeful. So, this might be biased. But I thought it would be interesting….
And it was. The panel were inspiring, intelligent, practical and obviously passionate about making a difference. I was reminded of how there are still unselfish people out there. Sometimes it’s hard to remember that. I made a few notes of the points made but on retreading although they were excellent, to me the real point of the session was that it took place at all. That these speakers had used their blogs to facilitate change (not create it, an important distinction) was testament tot the power of harnessed public opinion. It can be self interested (anger at the bankers wot dun us in, for example) or altruistic and principles. Both are forces to be reckoned with and not to be dismissed.
Thought stimulating and refreshing. Expect to here more on this from me.
