Lucky dip

A busy day thus far….a successful craft show where I sold a quilt (thanks Dilly), a load of blocks and some vintage books. I also saw some good friends too. Financially good but emotionally better. How lovely to meet fellow quilt nuts and feel among friends when admitting to stroking my quilts and not wanting to sell some of them. Christine, who organised the event is a lovely person, truly.

Then a quick dash to drop off my easel at the studio….oh, I love it. Now I’m sitting at the kitchen table while the boys eat their tea, stuffed pancakes, feeling very domesticated and content. Both unusual and unfamiliar feelings, I find. Wow, feeling happy is a bit strange. I know it shouldn’t be, but it is.

And day 5 of the fab NaPoWriMo. So here’s today’s ditty

Feedsacks, cottons, velvet and silk,

fabrics and ribbons and stuff of that ilk

make me feel happy, warm and serene

and if they’re not here, there’s always ice cream.

  1. Sounds like you had a wonderful day and I’m sure your quilts went to a good home but it’s still hard to say goodbye!
